Title : FROM THE PRISON INDUSTRY, TO THE ELECTRIC CHAIR
Subject : DEATH PENALTY

In a farm near Richmond, Reportage Without Frontiers met Gary Gouger. Up until the mid 90's, Goger lived with his parents on a farm. Goger found his parents murdered one dreadful day, immediately called the police and ended up being charged with their murder...Goger was given the death penalty, because he couldn't afford a good lawyer. He was rescued by a team of journalists and lawyers who opposed the death penalty and managed to give him a new trial and prove his innocence...

The documentary presents the rise of a new phenomenon in the US, "private prison complexes", and explores how private prison companies, like Walkenhut, who get paid by the state for every inmate, prefer the rise of the number of inmates and fight for a more severe legislation and the building of new prisons.
