This documentary presents the life of Kostas Georgakis, who on the 18th of September 1970, set himself on fire at Piazza Mateoti in Genoa, protesting against the dictatorship in Greece. Although his action was withheld from the Greek public by the government, it aroused international interest for the dictatoric regime of Greece. His action was commemorated in Genoa on the 18th of September 2000, were a special manifestation took place.

Stelios Kouloglou's documentary features interviews with his family, his childhood friends, his professors and his companions in the anti-dictatoric fight, as well as with Italian and Greek journalists and members of the city council of Genoa, where Georgakis is considered a symbol of democracy.
