The Middle East has suffered turbulances and wars in the past decades due to the fact that the world's largest oil reserves are located on its land. At the same time, oil and fuel gases are responsible for the grenhouse effect from which our planet suffers today: floods, drought, disappearnce of islands in the Pacific and a climate that seems to have gone mad! Can the world be a more peaceful and viable place if oil is replaced by milder forms of energy?
This is the question that this documentary, fueled by the war in Iraq, examines. The documentary, filmed by the Reportage without Frontiers team in the USA, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands and Greece, features interviews with american author Jeremy Rifkin and many significant scientists.
